Born (1985) and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. Takes the first classical piano and basic theory lessons at early ages. In 2005 starts studying the trumpet next to Konstantinos Gravos at the Municipal Conservatory of N. Ionia in Volos, Greece. Has graduated from the Pedagogic department for Primary School Education of the Humanities School at the University of Thessaly in Volos (2007), the Jazz Trumpet Department of Utrecht’s Conservatorium (NL - Bachelor of Music 2011) with Angelo Verploegen as his main teacher and Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (Master of Music, Under Graduation). He also takes lessons from Kenny Wheeler, Gerard Presencer, Richie Beirach, Hein van de Geyn, Jim Rotondi a.o. Has participated in projects from mainstream and contemporary Jazz music to classical and pop performing in the Netherlands (Vredenburg Leidsche Rijn Concert Hall, Utrecht), Germany (Bb Jazz Club, Berlin), Austria (Porgy 'n' Bess Jazz Club, Vienna), Czech Republic ("Jazz goes to town festival", Czech Radio and Television Concert Hall, Prague), Belgium (Music Village Jazz Club, Sounds Jazz Club, Brussels), Hungary, Denmark, Poland, Cyprus and Republic of Macedonia. Has appeared in almost 20 studio recordings for major and independent labels, collaborating on live performances with almost all the Greek jazz musicians (The Next Step Quintet, Dimitris Kalantzis, Kostas Yaxoglou, Lito Voyatzoglou, Vangelis Katsoulis a.o.) as well as pop major artists (Evanthia Reboutsika, Tania Tsanaklidou, Nena Venetsanou and Pavlos Pavlidis and the B-movies). Has participated in the "UBUNTU II" project (April 2013) led by the dutch composer/guitarist Marc van Vugt and shared the stage with Sylvain Beuf, Steve Beresford, Michael Occhipinti and Robin Eubanks. With his own quartet has released two albums, "Urban Stories" / AnkhJazz 0917-2 (2014) and "The Froth on the Daydream" / AnkhJazz 0931-2 (2017) receiving stellar critics by Greek and Belgian press ("Kathimerini" newspaper, Jazz&Tzaz Magazine GR, Jazzmozaik BE) and performs in prestigious jazz clubs and festivals in Greece (Half-Note Jazz Club, Onassis Cultural Centre, Greek Jazz Panorama New Generation, 53rd Dimitria Festival a.o.). Has represented Greece (among musicians from 14 different European Countries) at the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra 2014, ran by EBU. Since September 2016 is a trumpet teacher at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, Birzeit University, in Palestine.
